  • Tennis is in his DNA: His father Christian was a Top 50 professional tennis player and reached a career-high World No.39 in 1995
  • Ruud was a huge fan of Rafael Nadal as a child, and has been training at the Rafa Nadal Academy since 2018
  • In 2018, Ruud switched coach. After four years working with Spain’s Pedro Rico, he returned to being coached by his father
