The Mubadala World Tennis Championship has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2008, becoming renowned for providing as much entertainment off court as on it with an action-packed daily schedule of fun for all the family in Tennis Village. Free and open to everyone, the Tennis Village gives fans unprecedented opportunity to interact with the world-class line-up of players and also features an exciting array of activity from the tournament’s loyal partners including Mubadala, Etihad, Land Rover, Wilson, Tennis Emirates, Zayed Sports City and Abu Dhabi Sports Council, all of whom are sponsoring the Championship for the eighth year running.
The loyal support of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship’s key sponsors has ensured that the annual sports event has continued to grow bigger and better year on year. At the same time, the Championship provides an ideal platform for brands to expand their reach and engage with a wider audience.
This year, Premier Motors, which sponsors the event with Land Rover, the ‘official vehicle’ of the Championship, will enhance visitor experience by providing a parking area available exclusively to Land Rover and Range Rover owners. Additionally, visitors to the Land Rover stand, will have the chance to win exciting daily prizes that include a weekend test drive in a luxurious Range Rover, an AED 2,000/- gift voucher towards a resort stay and an economy ticket to any destination on the Etihad Airways network.
Participants only need to fill in a form with their details to be part of the daily draw. Inside the stadium, all visitors can look forward to seeing the latest Land Rover vehicles on display and take home branded giveaways.
The Mubadala Interactive Zone at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship saw a record numbers of visitors last year, and will return this year for visitors to hone their tennis skills and enjoy fun fair games in the interactive zone. Meanwhile, a firm favourite with fans, and ‘official airline’ of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Etihad Airways’ activities will include a stunning Etihad suite where fans can try their hand at landing an airplane using an interactive game.
As ‘official ball and racquet’ of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Wilson provides all the balls for centre court, as well as the equipment for the Mubadala Tennis in Schools programme and the apparel for the Mubadala Community Cup. Other activities include selling special jumbo tennis balls in the Tennis Village – the perfect purchase for fans looking for an autograph from one of the star players. Also adding to the fun element of the championship, Wilson sponsors a giant tennis competition on centre court featuring Pat Cash, jumbo racquets, jumbo balls and a lot of laughs!
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) continues to take on an increased role in growing participation in sport in the region with the Mubadala World Tennis Championship no exception. This year ADSC will host a tournament for the top 8 UAE National players at the Abu Dhabi showcase.
Last but not least, keeping the matches running smoothly are the team of fantastic ball kids, without whom the Championship couldn’t function. These are provided and trained by Tennis Emirates who tirelessly prove their dedication and commitment to developing tennis in the region.
